Before the Court of Hongkong would enforce

a judgment of a foreign Court, e.g. the Court of Macao the

following requirements would have to be complied with:-

A specially endorsed writ would have to be

issued in Hongkong embodying the substance of the

claim on which judgment had been given in the

foreign Court;

Time for appearance would be allowed to defend-

-ant and if without the jurisdiction an extension

of the time to appear and plead would be allowed

to him.;

The defendant could plead disputing the juris-

-diction of the foreign Court; or that no notice

was given to him of the issue of the writ or in

other words that service was not properly

effected or that no final judgment was signed;

or that the judgment was obtained by fraud.
